Sweet happy hours in di Mare restaurant
Karma Kandara’s dessert happy hour and di Mare’s new menu would have to be one of the finest ways to finish a day at the resort’s clifftop restaurant. In fact, it’s so good there’s even a Balinese word for it, “Mantap” meaning better than perfect.
Just imagine completing a meal or even starting a late evening of entertainment by sampling the new dessert menu and, washing it all down with a glass of Karma’s own sparkling wine, sourced from one of the world’s hottest new wine regions in the South Downs region of England.
The new menu is a sweet affair filled with tastebud-popping flavours as well as innovative twists on dessert classics such as a profiterole featuring caramelized banana paired with Java green tea and ginger-flower ice-cream. A particular highlight is the invitingly named “Black Magic Candy Bar” melding peanut butter chocolate mousse and peanut shortbread with an array of flavours served with an intriguing shiitake ice-cream.
Di Mare’s new dessert experience has been designed to showcase the bounty of Bali’s local ingredients across a selection of tantalising palate-tempting creations. What’s more, the sound of the Indian Ocean rolling onto the beach below ensures the evening is a complete sensory experience before guests take a moonlit stroll back to their villas.
