Karma St. Martin’s Achieves Two Rosette Awards from AA
Karma St. Martin’s in the Isles of Scilly has been awarded not one, but two Rosettes by the AA in recognition for their excellence in cuisine! The team are led by Executive Chef Mike Potts and General Manager Bjoern Duerr, who were overjoyed with the achievement alongside repeated 4-star hotel rating.
Respecting St. Martin’s heritage of foraging and using island produce, dishes feature seasonal, locally grown and ethically sourced ingredients. Guests and visitors can enjoy 2 Rosette awarded cuisine in the Cloudesley Shovell restaurant which features ocean views, or dine al fresco in Karma St. Martin’s subtropical gardens.
A holistic hideaway in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Karma St. Martin’s is a stone’s throw from the beach and a world apart from everyday life. From a distance, the retreat appears as a hamlet of traditional stone cottages. Step inside and it’s revealed as a luxurious contemporary hotel, complete with ocean views, classic English interior design (with an eclectic twist) and a soulful Karma Spa.
The Rosette Award scheme was introduced in 1956 by the AA as the first UK-wide scheme for assessing the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels. The team are delighted with the recent news, and look forward the 2018 season where they strive for continued success. Watch this space, and Experience Karma…
