Acquisition of Rottnest Island Golf Course lease no handicap to Karma Rottnest’s fitness plans
Karma Rottnest has secured the lease to the West Australian island playground’s solo golf course, extending Karma Rottnest’s offering as one of WA’s premier well-being and corporate retreat destinations.
Long the favourite of golfing die-hards and a fair whack of Happy Gilmore’s, the course has welcomed golfers of all stripes since its inception in 1960. Karma’s acquisition of the lease comes at an auspicious time for the international luxury leisure and hospitality group, as they celebrate 25 years in operation with a slew of market-leading well-being and fitness events around the globe.
Combined with Karma Rottnest’s reinvigorated spa – itself debuting WA’s first Apothecary Bar in partnership with WA wellness brand Generics – a spacious function room and the creation of an outdoor gym, the addition of the golf course offers individuals and corporates a diverse and relaxing mix of activities to experience.
The resort’s general manager, Glen Trebilcock says that the addition of the golf course lease completes an offering which the team from Karma Resorts have long seen as an essential part of a well-rounded and authentic ‘Rotto’ experience.
Guests to Karma Rottnest this spring can enjoy the new and improved facilities with a range of offering, including play and stay packages and the return of Karma Rottnest Wellness week in November.
Golfers can expect to yell “fore!” at the occasional Quokka but should not expect a response and should probably play on.
